A scammer will never want you to come to his office because he does not have one. It is very easy today to put up a fake website even a 12 year old can do it. A real criminal attorney will try to avoid a phone or web consultations because it is not secure. If you have not paid the lawyer for advise the attorney client privledge may not apply, thus the lawyer the information you give over the phone or over the internet could be used against you in court.
